මායාරංජන් නමැති ලේඛකයෙකු සිය දිගාමඩුලු අත්දැකීමි පාදක කර ගනිමින් 1948 දී පමණ කල කෘතියක සදහන් කරැණු කීපයක් මෙසේ දක්වමු මෙය ඔහුට උපහාර පිණිස පළ කරමු මන්ද යත් දැනට දිගා මඩුල්ලේ ඉතිහාසය පිළිබද දන්නේ අතලොස්සකි ඊට හේතුව මෙම ප්‍රදේශයේ පදිංචි කරැවන් බොහොමයක් බිබිල.මැදගම වැනි ප්‍රදේශවලින් ගල් ඔය සංවර්ධන ව්‍යාපාරය හේතුවෙන් පදිංචි කළ අය නිසයි ඔවුන් ඉතිහාසය පිළිබද දැන ගැනීම සදහාද මෙවැනි කෘති පරිහරණය කරනු දක්නට තිබෙනවා

කෝටුවක් අතට ගත්තම කෝටියක් දෝස දුරැවනවා  මෙය පැරැණි දිගාමඩුල්ලේ ප්‍රස්ථා පිරැළකි

Patipal Aru was the old name of the Galoya pronouncing as “Galaoya”. Gala oya divided in to two branches as Pallan oya and the Ekgal aru.

Rainy season is November to January and dry season is July to August.

Growing trees are Rena, Wewarana, Burutha, Milla, Halmilla, Palu, Weera, Mora, Mee, Ketalela, Doba, Keena

Inside the jungle can experience the cool weather conditions just like Badulla, Bandarawela. Elephants sleep in the day time and begin to walk for food in the night.

අනෙක් සතුන් මිනිසා දුටු විට පැන යාමට උත්සාහ කලද වලසුන් එලෙස පැන දුව නොයයි වළසා හා වැලහින්නද සිටියහොත් තත්වය තවත් භයානකය

එකළ තනි නිවසක් පමනක් පැවතුනු ගමිද පැවති බව සදහන් . වහලය සදහා උයන් හෝ මිල්ල ගස්වල පොතු භාවිත කළා අමුත්තකු පැමිණි විට වංගෙඩිය පෙරළා පැදුරක් දමා වාඩි වීමට දෙයි මුදල් තබන්නේ දුමි මැස්සේ යි

ප්‍රධාන අහාරය ඉරිගු හා කුරහන්ය ඉරිගු පුලුස්සා හෝ කොටා බත් ලෙසද කනවා

ජලය ඉතා හිග අතර ගංගා ඉවුර දෙපස වළක් හාරා ජලය ලබා ගනී ග‍මෙ උසම ස්ථානයේ විහාරය ඉදි කර ඇති අතර පන්සල මුලික කොට ගත් ජන සමාජයක් මෙහි විසීය

දමන වෑගමි පත්තුවෙ යටි පළාතේ අග නගරයයි ගල ඔයෙන් වෑගමි පත්තුව දෙකට බෙදේ ඒ උඩ-මැද පළාත හා යටි පළාත ලෙසයි උඩ පළාතේ අගනුවර උහන වු අතර යටි පළාතේ අගනුවර දමන විය

දමන පාසැල අතු සෙවිලි කර ගොම මැටි ගෑ ගොඩනැගිල්ලකි උසාවිය පැවැත්වුයේ කොස් ගසක් යටයි අසනීප සදහා මන්ත්‍ර ආදියෙන් පිළියමි යොදා ගැනුනි

1818 වෙල්ලස්ස කැරැල්ල හේතුවෙන් සංක්‍රමණය වු ටිකිරි අප්පු හා තවත් සොයුරකු විසින් පිහිටු වන ලද ගමකි

වෙඩිතැබීම පුචිචනවා ලෙස භාවිතා කරයි වඩිනාගල ප්‍රදේශයේ පැවති උණු වතුර ලිං සේනානායක

Teacher workshop (Second Update)

We left at 7.30 am from Pitakumbura to attend the meeting called by the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka on 14^th of July 2009 at the Mahanama National School in Monaragala, Southern, Sri Lanka.

The meeting was to summarize the teacher training program for the around one lack of teachers those who do not have the Information Communication Technology literacy in Sri Lanka.

ICT facilitator to the Monaragala education zone described how he implemented the program under the guidance of IT unit at the Ministry of Education in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Thilakarathna, Co-ordinator-ICT in the Department of Education, Uva made a speech on the importance of ICT and he is willing to help all to success the programs.

Mr. Jayawardhana, assistant director in the Department of Education, Uva described their activities , such as ICT camps,ICT societies and the Accellerated Learning Camps (ALC) which is funded by the World Bank. And he introduced the online data base of the Uva- Education Department, it is

Mr. Saman from Mahanama National School, Monaragala asked every one to help them to success the effort success of this voluntary service.

Mr. Neel Gunadasa told that the importance of hardware pool of the schools. First batch of the members trained through the Sri Lankan universities. Then they had a 2 day workshop on monitor repairing  at the SLIDA centre in Hatton.

The objective is to solve the hardware inquiries through the school by itself voluntarily.

He introduced the Learn TV , an educational channel via Dialog TV is started transmissions now. Channel 78 in the Dialog satellite TV connections can watch the programs and can contribute to the programs. Analyzing the productivity of this channel  that they will initiate a dedicated education TV channel.

He is to train teachers on Ubuntu and Ubuntu related education soft wares.

The MOE is testing an online data base management software in the Kurunegala area and is to introduce other Sri Lankan schools soon.

OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) project is going on and one school in the Uva province is selected now. All the teachers and the child will own a laptop. The primary schools below hundred children is selected to the project.
